So pony has damaged her fetlock joint and is starting two weeks box rest. She can be walked out to graze a few times a day but while I'm at work she will be stuck indoors. and unfortunately, no exercise means belly starts to grow!
I'm soaking her hay and splitting it into small amounts which people will trickle through to her throughout the day. Feed has been cut down (not really 'feed', just Fast Fibre) with just enough to disguise her Danilon and supplements. I'd like to give her a treat ball a couple of times a day - it really makes her day and bless her, she is fed up already!

I usually just use Pegasus nuts but can't find anything about their nutritional value, or Baileys Fibre nuts (the chunky ones) which seem fairly low in sugars. She will only have a cup full twice a day or so. Does anyone know which the lowest calorie nuts or mixes are. Or anything else I could use - Swede? Is that low sugar? I tried putting in some Cool Fibre thinking the chaff would slow it down but it doesn't come out easy enough and she gives up on it!

Any ideas? Many Thanks

we use high fibre nuts to put in balls for the horses to amuse themselves with overnight. They also get carrot balls too.
