Loxicom- loss of appetite?

My Jack Russell (15yrs old) has recently started having loxicom (10ml/day) and 1/4 paracetamol tablet 3 times daily for hind arthritis.

He’s been on the above combo since an emergency vet appointment we had on Boxing Day- generally a really good result, though in the last few days, he’s really losing his appetite.
Has anyone else encountered this? I’ll obviously call my vet and discuss, but reluctant to take him off it because he was doing so well. Any suggestions?

If your dog is benefitting from the NSAID (loxicom) you could ask to try Galliprant instead. Galliprant is also a NSAID but more sophisticated and less likely to affect the gut or impact the liver and kidneys.

Great- thanks for this. I will ask my vet about it.

My little old dog is on Galliprant and it has been a lifesaver for her. She has one 100 mg tablet morning and evening. She weighs 11 kg. This drug was prescibed by a vet specializing in orthopedics. She will be on this the rest of her life so it is a good choice.
