research trip go? I've talked to someone who installs Cushionride, as well as other surfaces, and he was very complimentary about it. I haven't managed to look at any yet as there aren't many people up here with it.

sorry been bit distracted with a new foal over the past wk so havent had chance to go look. am hoping to get over this wk. to find one local to me i just googled cushionride & on the later pages there were livery yards that hav the surface installed advertising their yards facilities. might be worth a try!

its looking highly likely that we will be gettin a cushionride surface now, primiarily because of cost, but also the environmental implications of toxic run-off from rubber & some other surfaces. we hav a defra tested stream near us so hav to be super careful to keep the council happy!

most of the companies, etc that i hav spoken to hav sed that as long as the drainage layer is well built cushionride works fine & considering how well our drainage has withstood the current rain we arent too worried! our fields r knee deep in mud but the limestone doesnt hav a drop of water standin on it! sadly our build has come to a standstill again as my dad wrks abroad & has just gone bk for 4wks

& none of us r trusted with a diy build! lol!

will let u know if i get over to see the surface! fingers crossed!
