Hi,

i am looking at changing my car and am considering a LPG 4x4, mainly so if i wanted to tow, i could.
Does anyone know what LPGs are like for towing?

To tow a trailer, i would have to take the extra test etc, but as i have a horsebox, it would mainly be initially be used for towing muck trailers, harrows etc around the yard, i dont want to be swapping cars quite a bit though so want one for the future!

Any feedback would be fab!

Thanks

My OH has a 4x4 partially converted (He got bored, its in storage - I want it out!!). I was planning on using it for towing if I could, I can't see why I couldn't?

I have LPG in both our cars. One word - Godsend! It shouldn't make any difference to the towing ability of the car and reduces your fuel bill by about 40%. Just make sure if you get a conversion done that you use a reputable person and get the biggest size of tank you can get. We have a 90L tank on our 4.0L Jeep Cherokee and it does about 130 miles towing 2 horses and a big trailer for £25 worth of LPG. Trust me, once you've converted you'll wonder why you never did it before! If you want any info, just PM me - I've had 2 cars converted and know the drill now..!
