After a trip to Ikea today, I brought Lucca a shark thinking it might cheer him up (he’s stuck on restricted exercise). It worked...for around 10 minutes at which point it starting snowing stuffing ? Here’s a photo, as you can see sharky did not fair very well, however you will be glad to know he has now been patched up ready for round 2!17D2C218-72A8-42D7-B3BC-633495EE3823.jpeg

I feel a lot like Sharky after I’ve been to IKEA ?
 
Henry would love that, but nothing has ever lasted more than a few minutes. The pinnicle of his life, was winning a raffle at the vets. It was a huge hamper of bedding, treats and toys. He claimed ownership of every item and was happier than a child who'd never seen Christmas. If a dog could be described as being proud, that was him.
Think I'll get daughter to get him a Sharky on her next Ikea trip for the old fella.
 
Mine does this with 99% of stuffed toys given to her but occasionally there's 1 special one that she takes care of, can't for the life of me work out what makes it special. We got a cow and a duck from Aldi ages ago, same size, same material etc, cow was destroyed in 5 mins, duck still in near perfect condition nearly 3 years later???

Thread and needle, perhaps bear thread if you have it. Use a patch of other fabric if needed, or maybe remove some stuffing to make the whole toy smaller, and fit within what is left of the current fabric.

By the way, you don't have to attach the head back on, just sew the head together as it is, and do the same to the hole where the head used to sit. Ta-da, you/your dogs now have two stuffed toys instead of one.
 
Sorry,but Killjoy me ,would throw sharkie in the bin..that stuffing could well be your next vet trip.it is not a dog safe toy.
If you visit any Labrador forum you will be regaled with post after post about what their dog had swallowed( requiring surgery)..
Labs need to be kept busy,train,walk,train.Ad infinitum....a toy will not suffice..I’d try a black (Galileo)stuffed Kong which your lab will love but is very dog safe and chewable..

Yes I am normally with you, however Lucca is more of a shredder then eater (mini Sharky from a previous Ikea trip stayed intact and likes being carried around) - I always keep an eye on him just in case, he does love a kong but is on limited exercise/training and diet after last weeks incident, so sharky was a brief escape from the constant ‘why are we not walking face’ ?

Yes! mini sharky which can be seen in the background is still intact several months after the previous Ikea trip- it seems this one just needed to be taken down ?
