Hacks are over very quickly with Bruce...how did that come up?!!

When I emailed him about a lesson, I mentioned that you told me he was going to Portugal, I then asked how pre season training was going and that's when he said it's boring and to ask Kat cause she know's how much I hate hacking

wizoz, is that Bruce Haskill

We have a horse he used to ride, I would love to find out more about her. She is an opposition baby.

Been twice with different horses and have mixed views. We did exactly the same things both times so if you've ever watched a clinic or been to her demos then you know what's going to be said already and the exercises in the school you could then do yourself (for a lot less money!) The first time she liked my horse and although he was naughty came away feeling really positive. Second time she didn't like my horse and so in a group situation I was totally ignored and when I had problems she offered no help just moved onto the next persons go at the exercise. So certainly no garauntee you come away confident.

I agree with Wiz about this. She sent one girl off to jump a few xc fences, started chatting to someone else, and didn't even see the girl fall off. When she saw the horse loose, she turned to the rest of us and asked what had happened...

however, she is very very good at getting your confidence up, especially if your riding's been a bit ruined by trainers who are too pernickity about the perfect stride. If you miss with Lucinda, she'll just yell "great, he'll learn from that, come again" instead of making you feel guilty etc. So, in that respect, she's very good.

I agree, well worth paying the money to attend. I went a few years ago and had a really good time and learnt alot by going back to the basics with my then newish horse!

Only trouble was that my lovely gp albion saddle was not good enough and did not give me enough room for my legs, when my stirrups were shortened. So i was 'told' to find another saddle for the next day, luckily someone at the clinic loaned me one for the day yet that was still not good enough so my horse ended up wearing Lucinda's saddle that she had been around Badminton with umpteen times. Lucinda then got on him and i'm not sure what he made of that!! (little claim to fame!!)

After that i ended up forking out for a new jumping saddle, it was worth the money but the lesson turned into quite an expensive outing!!!!

I did a lucinda green clinic at pontispool about 3 years ago!!!It was amazing, it totally changed the way I ride cross country, and have had far less problems and falls xc due to a better secure leg and position!I dont think its expensive for a two day clinic, with one of the top ledgends from eventing!!I dont know if they still do but when I went there was is a meal at night and talk with lucinda which is very informative!!

I recommend, and have fun!!!
