Lucky Horse???

I was mucking by horse out 2nite after work and I poped him in the spare stable. His field mate and stable buddy was standing watching me from his stable so I went over to say hello. I decided to give him my horses stable toy (the one that you put food in and they have to get it out) to see what he thought of it. When my boy saw that his friend was getting his ball he wasnt too happy and he stood and watched his friend play with it.

It made me look around his stable and think - does he know how lucky he is to have all these things. He has the ball to play with, a huge molasses lick, a rock salt lick ......... all in his stable for when he feels like them.

Am I giving him all this because I THINK he likes them or do u think ur horse thinks its lucky to have it?????

TBH...No, he has no comprehension whatsoever of "being lucky".

He just see's it as food

Yes I think you may be right!!!! always makes me laugh that I spend my time making him a lovely bed and the first thing he does when he walks in is go to the toilet hahaha

My beautiful elegant TB mare (are you reading NP - a TB - shock horror, get rid of it now!!)
comes in from the field, has a grassy poo and then rolls in it putting her head into the poo. She gets a haynet and water in her field.
Gelding comes in, has a wee and a poo then drags it all round with his sloppy feet (visualise grunting teenaged boy). Makes me wonder why I muck out at all - I should just cover it with more bedding and let him get on with it!
