Anyone done a XC clinic or had a lesson with Lucy Thompson? Planning on going to one at LMEQ in a couple of weeks, but will only be the third time the ginger has seen XC fences, so not sure if it's a bit soon.

Totally recommend Lucy. She is an amazing trainer and adapts her training according to you and your horse. My horse is quite experienced XC but she really helped a friend with her mare's first two XC outings. She also knows LMEQ very well and I am sure you will have a great training session.

Also LMEQ has a really wide variety of fences from really simple to OMG.

Second this! I was lucky enough to be based at LMEQ for a few weeks a couple of years ago, the XC is varied from 2' upwards. I also took my 4 year old there for her first XC clinic and Lucy was great with her, and me as I took a tumble

My girls have had lessons with Lucy for the last 5 years and we think highly of her. Lucy has the knack of seeing any issues with both horse and rider. Her instruction is clear and concise. Lucy is also very kind and really appreciates feed back from the rider. I have learnt a lot from just watching her teach as she involves everyone there.

I regularly train with Lucy and (self evidently!) rate her highly.

I'm really working on getting my rising 5yo out and about at the moment and Lucy has been really good helping me with her introduction to XC jumps.

Lucy is also really good at adapting her style to different people ..... so she'll work with you to help you improve rather than necessarily saying that all horses must be ridden like "this".

Hey, if you're going to LMEQ and want a "baby" XC class, I may well see you there! (I'll be on the ginger warmblood mare who still likes to remind me that she has a particularly athletic bronc at times.......)

She's brilliant. Did loads with minime when she was at PC and also her BE accreditation when it was still required for young'uns.

**toddles off to check out the LMEQ clinic......**

LMEQ is amazing too. From tiny logs on the ground through to humoungous jumps with a lovely water.

She's on my list of trainers to try; I'm fairly local to her and hear nothing but good things about her teaching :)

Thanks all, pretty resounding response! I think the clinic is on the 12th May, will sign up and hopefully not totally embarrass myself.

Love LMEQ, they have fab facilities and are always lovely to deal with.
