As above, sold to a Swiss owner for Dennis Lynch to ride.
He says the bid was too good to refuse??? I wonder how much that was ???

Dennis Lynch (All Inclusive)
Shane Sweetnam (Rolette)
Cian O'Connor (Rancorrado)

Wasn't there another one just after the Olympics too

I dont wish to say i told you so but i did! they have been negotiating for the horse since BEFORE the olympics which you may recall i mentioned as a pretty good reason for Denis lynch not to piss them off. and the rumour re price is several million euro.
as for rolette shane is based in the states, if not at the owners premises very close and i heard the daughter for whom it was orignally bought did not get on with her so well.

Oh Lady Lucretia, you know we all bow to your superior knowledge of all things horsey........

Interesting thing is that the Irish seem to be able to attract very wealthy foreign owners.......... maybe the british need to find out how they do it!!

weeeee, I'm quite happy with all these nice horses coming, now if they can just go to riders (not COC!) who do their utmost to keep their horses drug free :P

Oooh, since you've got your ear to the ground, so to speak, what do you know of an Irish rider trying out an Argie Horse in Florida. Horse's name is Magnus Romeo and he was up for sale for around $1m, if the rumourmill (my farrier!) is correct.

Hi there PF, well i havent heard about that one but it could be that if the rolette owners have decided to back this irish guy maybe they are buying him another one? love the foalie pictures by the way x

If Shane gets ANOTHER grand prix horse, there won't be many riders in the world with a better string of horses to start 2009 with!
Rolette AND Amaretto AND several really decent 1.50-1.60 horses.
Certainly good news for the Irish Team selectors with Kentucky next year.

The Irish do seem to be doing rather well....I think it's the Irish charm and perhaps a little whiskey and Guinness

(Oh and whoever said Bushmills - that ain't Irish, it's in Northern Ireland so technically UK!)

Just to nitpick - but in horsesports N Ireland counts as Ireland, ie Jessica Kurten is from Cullybackey, Co Antrim etc.

Don't see how a wee drop of Bushmills couldn't be involved.

Fiona

Scores never tell the whole story, but Rolette hasn't produced many clears with Shane during the WEF. Will probably go and win the rest of their classes now I've written that!
