Lump after being kicked

I was kicked in the leg a few weeks ago just below the knee to the side. It had a wonderful bruise for a few days that's now gone but I've still got this hard lump under the skin. It's not really painful but sensitive I suppose.

I'm wondering if it will go away or are my days of being a leg model over (haha!)

I tripped over a pallette in a feed store about 2 years ago, had an almighty bump on my shin that has only recently gone down

Is it on soft tissue? Then say "hi" to a proper hematoma. It will go away eventually but take weeks and weeks to go down.
I had a stupid accident in the past, when I split with my mount and my foot got stuck in a stirrup. To add insult to the injury, the mount then decided to step on my other leg, on similar place. Not putting much of his weight, just hold me in place and putting more pressure when I tried to remove his foot (he was a right prat! :D) for quite a while. As a result I had an impressive bruise and solidified blood under for the entire summer.

. Pretty normal. I had one last 6/7months. Just so long as you don't think anything is broken and so long as it doesn't get bigger

My knee (that was stood on) is still a bit lumpy, when I went to hospital they x-rayed it and said there was no break or concern and that the lump could take weeks to months to go down after the bruising had gone.

I have a big purple ring on my knee now, but the rest seems to have gone down. thankfully the lump isn't too noticeable as it's on my knee. If you're not sure, get it checked out as apparently they can become infected but as it sounds like the bruise has gone you'll probably be fine.

Mine isn't sore sore, but if it's poked at it can still be quite painful. I can't ride for very long atm as it's the inside of my knee and gets sore, although it also does help remind me to keep my knee out of knee roll and where it's supposed to be at least.

I have one in the muscle of my arm where Pie bit me 14 years ago. Some kind of scarring in the muscle apparently?? It doesn't really hurt now but it was tender for years.
I'm currently having the dr debate about my foot. Pie studded me about 6 weeks ago. First aider had a look and didn't think anything was broken but as the bruising subsided I've been left with a numb patch and it still feels bruised and lumpy where the stud landed (thank goodness I was wearing proper boots or it would have been much much worse).

At least it's not abnormal! It's the size of the hoof (miniature lol) so not too bad. I was very proud of the bruise though.

lol, mine were FAR better than that - from knee to ankle - both legs!! The bu**er was multi-talented - and no miniature. I was in hospital a week later - for my near brain surgery - and you wouldn't have believed the look on the Registrar's face when he saw my legs - AFTER surgery! He was relieved - and amazed - when he heard it was from a horse - "I didn't know they were so dangerous" he said! (I doubt he'll let his children near horses!) The haematoma should disperse a bit quicker than mine did because of position.
