New horse has a lump under his belly..

its about the size of a marble...hard, no hair on the end..a bit red but not bloody (hard to see properly). Could almost be his belly button but too far forward.
Hard to tell if its sore..it doesn't look it but he's touchy about his belly being touched anyway..

Any ideas?

If it is soft and squishy, it could be a hematoma. If you push your finger into the middle of it and it leaves a dent then you have a hematoma. they are sometimes found on belly and will grow in size before they go back into the body. They are not painful and donot require draining. Hope this helps you

Could be a harmless Tumour, but if you're worried have a Vet check it out.
If it is a tumour the Vet will usually laser it off.

If its a haematoma, which is a collection of blood in tissue under the skin due to injury, how may your horse have hurt himself/herself?
