Lump on horse's head... HELP what is it??

Hi, last tuesday my horse developed a small pea sized lump on his fore head, it is hard doesnt seem to be hurting him or anything but i would of thought if it was a fly bite it would gone down by now?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it is? and how to get rid of it, i have some photos of the lump if anyone whats to view them.

Could be a reaction to a tick, the head of the tick left inside, causing swelling or has he been foraging in hedges. My boy gets a scabby head with lumps when he eats hawthorn and stabs himself on thorns.

Here is a pic of the lump, not sure if tick head as wouldnt it have a head on the lump? It hasnt changed in size but it is really frustrating me as i dont know what it is
