My horsey came in the from the field last week, with a little tiny cut on his knee.
I cleaned it and cold hosed it.
BUT
a week later and the little cut has healed and he has got no heat or swelling in the leg apart from a medium sized lump on his leg. But like i say no heat , i keep cold hosing it but isnt going down.
He is not lame either.
The lump isnt fluidy its quite hard .
Could it be bruising from a bang and will go down , i really dont think it is infected because no swelling or heat.
???????? and ideas on what i should do
I thought of maybe putting him on a bute a day as it is a anti inflam and might take the swelling down.
what do you think ?
Will try to put a pic on

In the first pic it definitely looks like a sizeable lump rather than just a knobbly knee. If you're absolutely certain that you didn't see joint fluid leaking out at the time of the original injury (pale, straw coloured liquid) and he's not lame on it then I'd think you could cautiously treat it as a soft tissue injury for a few more days. If it goes on any longer or he gets suddenly lame or even just for reassurance, I'd get the vet out just in case x

i know i was messing when i said nobbley knees cause of the second picture .
I know there is quite a big lump , yes defo no fluid see wat happens over next few days and will get the vet mon if no better
