Lump on leg. Would this worry you?

My horse has had a lump on the inside of his forleg for ages now. Its about half way down his cannon bone on the inside and its about the size of half a grape. Its not a splint as its not on the bone.
It is hard but you can move it from left to right. There is no heat and the horse doesn't worry if you pinch or poke it. If you lift his left and bend it up ( as if you are hoofpicking) it disapears.
He is not lame.
Do you think he may have kicked the area and its a bit of permenant swelling/scarring in the tendon sheath?
