lump on neck **picture**

What do you think?

Iv got the back man out at the weekend, I'm hoping he will straighten her out.
The lump I'm talking about it near the mane and depending on which way her head is turned, depends on which side of her neck the lump is.
It feels like a really tense lumpy muscle.
Anyone seen this before??

No vaccines recently. iv only had her a week. Before that she's been in a field I last saw her about 2 months ago and it wasn't like this. Her neck muscle has all ways been obvious but it's really lumpy

I would have checked by vet. Probably nothing serious but best to know what you are dealing with.

I would definitely get a vets opinion as a precaution, but if you've been able to prod at it I would assume its not hurting the horse?

Hello. Does she have a full range of movement? Can she do carrot stretches both ways? My boy had a much smaller lump on his neck and it turned out that he'd fractured it and subluxated a vertebrae.
Might be worth a chat with your vet to see what they think
