Lump on Pastern

My 5yo mare has gained a lump on her pastern.

She has been occasionally putting a short stride in, and doesn’t just feel 100% from time to time, but not obviously lame or sore. She is still forward and willing (only ridden in school)

Vet and farrier are coming this week.

Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be ringbone? Could this be something else? Really hoping it is, but signs are pointing to ring bone.

Any advise welcome

suspect arthritic changes - you won't know for sure without x-rays - they will also help farrier with shoeing and help reduce further damage

If a horse is looking short it generally is lame and feeling some sort of pain so a vet would be a good option.
