my border collie called tiggre has a big lump on te side of her face and its making her just about drag her head on the floor the poor moo.its about double the size it normally is and when i took her up the vets and got her checked and given medication we couldn't even get her mouth open its that big!what do we think it is??have any of you ever experieced this??shes very saw and looking sorry for herself.i let her out in the day to do her businesses nd get some fresh air my dogs have propper kennels built so she can go in their if she ants and then at night i have been bringing her in.am i doind the right thing?what a pickle...
 
So let me get this straight..a lump is growing off the side of the poor girls face and all the vet did was give 'medication'? What did he say it was?

Yes, I have experienced this. It turned out to be cancerous lumps (although by the sounds of it nowhere big as this) and had to be surgically removed.
 
yeah i know thats what i thought my mum seems to think it may be a wasp or bee sting as a dog at our yard got a similair thing.the vet said we need to take her back if it goes down to see what it is and if it dosnt go down in the next week then i've gotto ake her back anyway but i'm not convinced...
 
Take her to get a 2nd opinion with a different vet.

When you say a big lump and it's making her drag her head a bit just how big do you mean?

Also bee/wasp stings should eb treated immediately, not left to see how they go.
