Lumpy horse, Ideas please?!

Maybe just give him a really thorough scrub for a few days after riding and see. I know quite a few horses who become sensitive to sweat, and he has lots of delicate pink areas so wouldnt be surprised if he is sensitive. If its any consolation Js went down overnight

My TB suffers from this a couple of times a year and always in August, tbo I would leave well alone and not bute up .... if you think he is stressed then that is a different matter .... see Here for a bit more info

Thanks Patches, very valid suggestion, but i dont use fly spray on him.... getting near him with a spray is a task in itself, and he is clipped all year round anyway, so has a fly sheet on to prevent sunburn and stop flies, thank you though

MH, yes he is very sensitive on his pink bits, and quite often gets bumps there but they are normally singular big one off ones. This is proper rash all over

Have you topped your field or anything like that, because i've heard horses coming down with something similar if they've eaten some cut buttercups.... or it may be an allergic reaction to something!
