Lumpy horse, who's was it?

I remember reading about this a while ago, there's a horse at my yard that's covered in lumps.
just wondered if it was the same and what caused it?

Madhector's Jerry came out in lumps at cereals I think it was...can't remember the details though.

mine gets lumpy if he gets too hot, and if he's sweaty and i dont wash off properly.

Our new mare was lumpy.... think it was caused by her sweating buckets when she was travelling as they have gone now and not been back!

Mine gets it from washing powder - have to use Nixwax or Tesco's own

Yep was Jerry. We finally worked out they were heat bumps and it was just coincidence that they came up when we introduced new feed. he is now on a couple of things that we originally thought caused the bumps and is fine, just has less rugs on

Great thanks, I'll let the owner know. I think he wears a lot of rugs so will get her to put less on him!

My girl was covered in lumps - don't know what caused them but she was on antihistamines for 10 days before they cleared! She also had them last January so vet thinks it could be an allergy to something environmental. Did notice the farmer was putting something on fields next to ours so not sure if that's anything to do with it. Very odd!

mine has them at the moment but they are from an allergic reaction?
