A friends native pony has just developed either side of the knee, a really hard lump (about the size of a large walnut).
This is on both forelegs and he is not lame.
Someone said at the yard that it looks like a fracture.... yet i would think that would cause him to be lame???!!
He recently did a chase me charlie in the arena- good surface and jumped very high (for a little 'un) and also bolted with a child across the stubble.
I said it was probably bought on from the jumping- as the ground on the stubble is very soft and unlikely to cause what looks like excess bone to be laid down around his knee joints.
Just wondered if anyone else has any similar experiences? and what it turned out to be. He is booked to go to the vets monday for xrays.
