Lumpy/scabby armpits - sarcoid?

I was grooming my horse (grey 5yo) this eve and noticed he has slightly rough/bumpy feeling armpits with what appeared to be small scabs that I was able to brush off.

Now this could just be a sweat rash but I did notice one lump in particular that I’m wondering if it’s an early sign of a sarcoid. It’s hidden within the folds of his armpits and I was able to feel the whole lump (gently) between my fingers so it’s surface level/on thin skin, it’s perfectly round with a slight scab on the very tip, no heat and he’s not bothered by me touching it. It’s still covered with hair and has slightly pinkish undertones. It’s very tiny at the moment - smaller than my fingernail. I’ll attach some pics :).

Wondering what people’s thoughts are?

It could easily be, but I'm not sure a vet would suggest doing anything other than watch and wait on one so small. If you're lucky his immune system will be on to it. I would check the central line of his belly and his sheath and groin for others like that, and the inside of his thighs for darker pigmented circles in the hair, and keep a diary of everything you find so you know how they change.
