I was grooming my horse (grey 5yo) this eve and noticed he has slightly rough/bumpy feeling armpits with what appeared to be small scabs that I was able to brush off.
Now this could just be a sweat rash but I did notice one lump in particular that I’m wondering if it’s an early sign of a sarcoid. It’s hidden within the folds of his armpits and I was able to feel the whole lump (gently) between my fingers so it’s surface level/on thin skin, it’s perfectly round with a slight scab on the very tip, no heat and he’s not bothered by me touching it. It’s still covered with hair and has slightly pinkish undertones. It’s very tiny at the moment - smaller than my fingernail. I’ll attach some pics .
Wondering what people’s thoughts are?
