She is in the vets now. Due to pick her up around 1.

Am so angry at ourselves for not keeping things locked away, doors shut tight etc.

She seemed ok when I left her, normal scatty self, fingers crossed I caught it in time.

As Amymay and Mrs M say, don't beat yourself up. My black lab Nia decided to help me when I was cleaning out the kitchen cupboards - pretty much an entire large bag of raisins. Straight to the vets and lots of throwing up drugs later, she was perfectly fine. My vet was lovely and also said, these things happen, you can't watch them every second of the day. xxx

Thanks all. She’s home tonight. Was kept in for a few hours after being made sick. Some pills were found in the vomit. She’s been given charcoal, proved she eats anything as apparently wolfed it down. Her blood pressure and heart rate were closely monitored too. They wanted to keep her for 24 hours, but she was such a stress head in the cage she broke a tooth. (Is crate trained at home). When vet checked her mouth the tooth came out, luckily puppy teeth. They felt she’d be better off at home as we are here to keep an eye on her, been told for things to look out for and take her back if needed.

We will be much much more careful from now on.

Our vet was also great. She said Luna is the first with this particular medication, so they made lots of calls and did lots of research. They’ve dealt with rat poisons, paracetamol etc.

I'm really glad she is OK TheresaW - I swear they actively seek new ways to worry us every day! I am always terrified that mine will try and eat my anti-depressants one day, goodness knows what that would do to them....

So glad she's back k! I swear, they're sent to test us!

Bear ate a 1/3 of a cheap tennis ball this week, then spent half an hour puking up everything he'd eaten all day. They look terrible when they're sick, don't they??

Is the person whose blood pressure went sky high because the dog had eaten their blood pressure pills OK :D ?

Glad things turned out well.

I am so glad they (Lina and pill-less person) are both OK. What a worry.
Brandy ate a whole tub of hoof oil once and where she pooed and vomited the grass died and has only just recovered, and that was 8 years ago!

My setter stole a whole bag of grapes...I just saw the empty stalks on the floor!...She was terrible for stealing anything edible , she was a terrible counter surfer. My vet gave me some washing crystals which makes them sick within a few seconds..It worked as said grapes were immediately expelled all intact. Her sister got the same treatment in case she ate them too.....but as it turned out she didn't eat any.

Glad she's OK! My mum's dog ate an entire pack of her thyroid medication (that he could easily have stolen but totally ignored for over 3 years previously - this was not a young dog!). Big panics, but he was absolutely fine as well. It often makes me wonder what they actually put in our medication!

Our first BT ate through a plastic bag, Xmas wrapping paper, cardboard box and then consumed a whole heap of cadbury's roses including the wrappers. We were out at the time and came home to the debris. Clearly there's not a lot of chocolate in Roses chocs as he was fine but the wrappers did reappear! Glad Luna is OK, these things happen!

Am so glad I’m not the only one! Makes me feel a bit less like a terrible owner.

Lev, no idea what the antidepressants would do to a dog, but I’m sure you’re more on the ball than we were.

Well so far Millie lurcher has eaten a whole packet of ear plugs, a number of letters including my vets bill and my latest worm count kit (unused!) - that is kind of you to say so but I'm not so sure :D :D
