dose anyone know the symptoms???? a woman on our yard has 3 horses 1 of which started coughing about 6weeks ago now all 3 r coughing and not only that 1 imparticula is almost reching appaently the vet has been out even tho none of us saw him and there still coughing, we know she dosent worm as she has told us, things r a bit akward now between us all and her but were so worried about her gee gee,s

What makes you think it could be lungworm? Lungworm can be treated with Ivermectin
 
just the fact that she dosent worm her boys really, dont know much about them but they dont sound very healthy!!!
 
Hmm, you really need a host to bring them in, but they could be around. Best to worm I guess, has the vet advised this do you know? Poor things.

Thanks for your help i want to be able to advise her without sounding big headed and controling she has apparently had vet and supposedly he is coming again today so will keep you posted
 
You thought wrong I'm afraid. Donkeys can carry them without symptoms, but are quite rare these days. Cattle and sheep carry them too.
