Reccommend me a large fitting lunge roller please? I would like one with padding with a gullet over the spine (ya ken?) and various rings. Currently have a Shires fluffy one that fits fine but, no gullet. And I'm not sure if it was full size or if they did an extra full? I haven't measured her girth in cm but she measures as 680 - 700 kg on a weigh tape, so pretty big but not a full on draught horse.

Also, inexpensive/good value is good!

I know you specified a roller with a gullet, but have you considered putting a thick pad underneath the shires roller? This is what I do, and my mare sounds to be about the same size as yours. The combo is IMHO very comfortable for the horse. Mine's a Roma pad, it stays in place well with velcro straps at the top and side.

I'd seen the ones at Kramer... generous sizing? They must be, I feel like Kramer caters for warmbloods so aren't going to be tinchy. I only worry because we had a kincade one before that was woefully small... but I do wonder if I accidentally bought a cob sized one and am in fact worrying over nothing.

I have a neoprene/plastic one that I have had for years, and have bought a smaller horse. No worries, swapped the girth part that the roller came with, for a smaller dressage girth. Fits perfectly now.

So, for you I would get whatever roller you like for the padding, and use a longer dressage girth. TBH I would probably use a Prolite pad under the roller you have.

Aw Tiddlypom, I didnt see your post, she's gorgeous! And that looks a good set up... we have been using a pad and I'm pretty happy with it but Husband (who does the lions share of any long reining to be fair) thinks he would be happier with the kind of roller that has the gap over the spine as he worries about it slipping.

I hadn't thought of just buying one and adjusting with a dressage girth if necessary! Doh! Lol. And we use a dressage girth for her saddle too so it's not like it's not an obvious thing to do. Lol. Wood for the trees much? Thank you.
