Whenever I lunge my welsh cob, after about 2 minutes on one rein, she stops and turns in to face me, sometimes rearing up, and carries on doing this and wants to go on the other rein. I use a whip when lunging and even by using this, it doesn't manage to get her to move in the direction I want her too. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks :)

Make sure you absolutely never look at her head. Always look at her bum. You'll cause her to stop if you watch her face/head. Another thing to watch is that you don't drive her scatty with the utter boringness of lunging. Until you both get better at it I'd say the minute you've achieved some nice work on both reins without turning in - even if she's only been doing it for 5 mins - stop, praise her profusely and either take her for a hack or if she can't be ridden, take her for a nice walk in hand, of course using all that you've been teaching her on the lunge like leading politely etc etc etc.
