I have a horse that I'm trying to lunge. The problem is he's not allowed to canter because of rehab program and he is quite uncontrollable on the lunge, rearing, bucking and trying to pull me off somewhere in a very fast canter. If I try and make the area smaller in the school he just will either jump it or demolish it. I'm really worried about him doing himself damage and going backwards. Please help

He needs his trotting otherwise he won't go forward. He's walked in hand for 1/2 hour and he's find I tried trotting in hand but we can't go to the school without a battle and in the school its a break for freedom

Sorry, dont know the answer, the horse is obviously desperate for a good kick about. It sounds quite dangerous. If he is in re-hab and needs this exercise, I would be tempted to put a light-weight rider on him for a bit of extra control

It's odd though he's fine in the field, about 4 times the stable size just to try and get it used to space and it is perfect the easiest pony to take in and out no going mental it's just the school. As soon as it sees the school now it has a fit
