It sounds like it just could be a settling in issue if his turnout has changed and busy school it's enough to turn them a bit bonkers, have you got a friend or someone that might help you with schooling maybe jump on him and just help sort him out a bit if your struggling.

I also think a vet check is a good idea one of mine would buck when asked for canter then we found hock arthritis.

possibly, I’m not sure. My friend came a few weeks ago which was a massive help and she said he needs to be kept forward, thinking and have a job to do.

but to be on the safe side I’ve booked for my vet to come out on Friday morning :)

I lost my confidence a bit with Louis a while back his sharp and it sometimes gets to me but luckily I have a friend that is next door and I can meet her to ride with, she will also jump on him for me and then I get on and she just gives me a bit of support and really helps.

Some horses need a lot more focus and they thrive on a busy more difficult schooling time, it can get tiresome thats why I struggle a bit as his the type of horse that you have to ride every stride, but if definitely helps to have someone who can get on them and understand the horse then help you on the ground.

The technical term for this is “a riding instructor “. You should get one.

Yeah I know but op said previously she can't afford one at the moment so thought about another option, some people like the opportunity to ride another horse and help people out sometimes if your lucky.

It helps if you have nice friends ?
