Lunging - Gloves

I am hoping you experienced lot can help me out :confused:

i was lunging yesterday and the horse decided to run away with me and i got rope burn on one of my fingers lol i had gloves on but it burnt a hole through them so i was wondering what gloves if any do you wear and are they any good?

Lucky-star - you did better than me at least as I had the exact same thing happen yesterday and my horse is a shire x!! However I had NO gloves on (what an idiot!!) and now I have nice blisters on my fingers. Lesson learnt :-(
 
i like the sound of the leather gloves :) may go and buy myself a pair of them for next time. do you just wear those gloves for lunging and another pair for riding in ?

im not sure i learnt my lesson lol as he did it the first time n got the rope burn but went back to carry on so he didnt think if he did that, that would be the end of working but he did the same thing again on the other rein lol i have learnt though thin gloves are a no no now with him lunging :rolleyes:
