My mare lives out 24/7 and for the 30mins here and there when its not raining ive been riding but today doesnt look like its going to stop so i was going to lunge
so, if i lunge her naked she will get soaked and i have nowhere to put her to dry so i can put her rug back on
does anyone lunge with a rug on? lightweight may i add
She wont be working up a major sweat just a little exercise

I would probably prefer to lunge without a rug and get rained on. If she's clipped, she dry fairly quickly after. If she's unclipped just scrape and towel dry as best you can. Many rugs are breathable so wet horses will dry, particularly with L/W rugs.
I invested in a Bucas rug which can be put on wet horses, its been a godsend for those days when it rains unexpectedly.

Modern rugs are breathable now so I have no issues with working in the rain, then chucking turnout rug on and putting the horse in the field- I did it last night after a lesson :)
