just a quick rant!!

project horse has been going amazing! (spoke too soon!) untill today! owner has taken over most of the hands on work and im just there to support. horse was a bit scatty today but seemed to be chilling out, then all of a sudden took off, bronked around getting lunge line inbetween her legs, owner has then let go and horse decides to gallop around the school, working her self up into a sweaty mess! was absolutly dripping when i caught her! and all because of her blinking field companion!! GGGRRR

so i finally got her to do her lovely trott ( as calmly as could be expected) trying to end on a good note! then walked her around the school for 20 mins cooling her off and calming her down.
so all that hard work ruined! back to square 1 tomorrow, joy!

there off my chest, thanks! xx

dont worry, when i backed my boy hed do this all the time, i was rather pleased he did it on the lunge before i got on him:D My instructor however would have whipped me to a pulp for letting go of the line - she saw a girls back broke letting go and the horse wizzing round - she got caught up in it and bang! That was while she was training, shes a very experience BHSI.

So hold on tight and let him get it get it out of his system:D Then do some proper work once the beans have gone

i dont think its beans, its more anxiety being away from her field friend.

horse is 13 and hasnt hardly done anything for 4 years apart from live with this other horse day and night.

the horse was broken in and was being used as a dressage horse when she was 6 up untill 4 years ago. she just seems to lose the plot every now and again wanting to get back to the field. i have surgested to the owner the 2 horses are seperated.

i wont be letting go of any lunge lines ever again after hearing that story!!
