Hello all,
I just wanted to stress the importance of using products such as advocate/panacur for your dog, particularly in puppies and young dogs. We have had 2 cases of lung worm in 1 month.
The first puppy showed quite severe neurological signs, luckily he is doing really well after treatment. Unfortunately our second case passed away this morning, despite our very best efforts, he may have reached us just too late. Both puppies were 8/9 months old.
Having never seen a dog infected with lung worm before, I hope to never witness it again however I am afraid that this may not be the last.
