Any idea as to what this is? i overheard someone saying that their pony could do with it? however i did not want to ask as i felt alittle like a nodding dog...ikwm lol
 
Its an elastic adjustable rein that you can attach to the bit over the headpiece and then either between the legs or to the roller/saddle, so quite versatile as to where you want the pressure from.

It is completely elastic (hence bungey reference) so allows the horse to move. I would say it's along the lines of a de gogue and a pessoa. A cheap piece of kit.

You can also ride in them. They are supposed to imitate the perfect pair of hands. The Fredericks use them a lot in their show, and their little girl rides in them a lot to help her keep the pony straight.

a lungie bungie ( used by the federicks) looks like this

The lungie bungee is a usefull piece of kit. Similar to side reins but fully elasticated. Also keeps an even contact on both reins at all times as it runs through a ring thing. S your horse cant lean on one rein etc.
