A friend of mine is trying to rehome a lurcher, she took her in when nearby travellers moved on and left her behind. She's mainly black, about a year old, and seems sweet natured, not bothered about other dogs or livestock. Doesn't appear to have had any toilet training.
Please pm me if you are interested and I'll pass contact details to you.
Dog is in Croydon, not far from M25 jcts 4 and 6.

I'm nowhere near and can't manage another mouth to feed but if you get stuck there are lots of lurcher rescues that can help out. Greyhound and Lurcher rescue operate in the south or you can contact Lurcherlink for advice. http://www.lurcher.org/kaye/LurcherLinkwebpages/Lurcherlinkfrontpage.html

Good luck

Has she had her vet to scan her for a microchip?

Also please check she isn't listed on DOGSLOST in case she is listed. I know the travellers left her, but they may have stolen her in the 1st place.

No she's not chipped, my friend takes in a lot of strays and is very friendly with the local vet and the dog warden, and she's not been reported locally. But I'll pass on info you've posted here. I am tempted to have her, she'll be a good pair for my lurcher....
