Lurchers paper thin skin!

We have another injury! Playing to hard and fast. £280 at vets for full thickness skin tear on her chest. I was worried about her muscle/lung at site so whisked her off to emergency vet. Some super glue and antibiotics for her. She’s not a bit bothered! Didn’t even cry when she did it.

Poor girl! I'm so lucky in that my Lurcher doesn't seem to rip easily but his sensitive digestive system more than makes up for it!

Hope she feels better soon

Well it was healing and now she’s licked it open!! Argh! I’m such a useless dog owner. Never had such a challenging pet!

We have a dog recovery suit just for this type of injury. Our lurchers wear it regularly, last injury happened while the dog was on lead and brushed against a jagged bit of wood at a walk! Vet visit out of hours of course.
