Hello!
I have finally plucked up courage to stop lurking and venture into the fold!
Quick intro - I'm an about-to-be 30 year old Yorkshire lass who's come back to riding after a fair few years [i.e. 15 ((hangs head in shame))] and discovered I don't bounce as well as I used to!
My hubbie and I have recently bought our first horse together - well officially he's hubbies horse and I seem to be the underpaid groom

.
Sidney is a black 17.2 Hanoverian Gelding and the love of both of our lives.
I'm hoping to pick up lots of tips and not ask too many utterly stupid questions so please please be gentle!

and Welcome.

Pull up a chair, have a cup of coffee and get stuck in! We love photos, hint, hint.
Whereabouts in Yorkshire are you? I lived in Catterick for a bit.

Hi welcome to the forum
I'm also fairly new here and from yorkshire...and just gone 30

Have fun and don't worry about asking daft stuff -everyone is really nice and helpful, plus as they say "the only silly question is a question never asked" (hence to say I do not tell my 8 year old students this!)

Hi
I'm orginally from thirsk (family from Stamford Bridge)but am now in Lincoln.
I'll try to sort out photos once I figure out how to get them on here?
St Bernard - he is rather gorgeous but then i am very very biased! Needs a lot of fitness work and a bit more weight but he could look lovely. I'm still at the dewy eyed stage when i talk about him - but having been sent flying earlier by an over enthusastic "cuddle" I'm sure it won't last!!!

Welcome to the forum!

I know just how you feel about taking a break from horse keeping and getting back in to it again! I had about a 14 yr gap in my riding as well

Now I currently have 4 (well 2 and 3/4 lol) I have two AQHA Chestnut Geldings, A Shetland gelding, and a little tiny mini colt!

Hello and welcome!! I am quite new as well (as I was too shy to post at first lol). You'll have to post some pics of your horse. My horse is the one in my avatar. He is a 16.3hh Dutch warmblood x called Mark (please note I didn't name him LOL).

NO! NO! Get out now while you can - this forum takes more of my time than I can afford. If you know what's good for you, stay away!! But you've seen what it's like so well done you for taking the plunge!

Honestly, welcome and I hope you get as much use and enjoyment out of it as I have done. Every query, thought, view gets answered - by some very interesting and helpful people. Your horse sounds lovely and pics are always appreciated......!!

Hubby was born in York so we spend a fair bit of time up there visiting his folk. For a time I would have happily moved up there but then we found Norfolk...
