Hi guys,

I am considering stallions for my mare for this season.

I have been advised by the assessor at Oldenburg grading that my mare deserves to be put to a top notch SJ stallion, preferably following the L Lines to increase her movement to maximum potential. I really like the look of Lux Z - and while I'm sure it has been mentioned before (cringe), has anyone used him recently? Does anyone have any of his progeny? what are their temperaments like? Temp is very important! Is his semen good quality?

Many thanks in advance guys

We have 3 at the minute. Two mares and a colt. The fillies can be a bit on the sharp side but the colts and geldings have fantastic temps.Have never heard of anyone having problems getting mares in foal to him.

He is one of my all time faves and if I had the opportunity to use him I would not hesitate. He has proven himself beyond a doubt to be a supreme competitor but also a superb sire, siring Lupicor amongst others. His temperament itself is lovely and all his progeny I have known have been likewise. If there have been sharp it has been of the intelligent and workmanlike type in that they want a job to do and are keen to please.

We have one out of an Animo mare. 15.3hh of sheer ability and jumped DC in her first 1.25 at her last show out. She is straight but needs an experienced jockey as she is so powerful. In the stable she is one of the nicest, easiest horses we have ever had.

I would fill my yard with Lux Z's if I could.
