I have just had a really good quote for veterinary cover, Mortality, and Transit Insurance from Lycetts.

Anyone have any experience of them.

PM would probably be better

Thanks.

Lycetts are an insurance broker so will use various insurance companies to get you a horse quote that's suited to what you need. They use reputable companies so you don't need to worry. I handle a lot of their farm policies (we are the insurer) and at my previous job they used to use us for horse policies as well. i am not sure which companies they use now - could be KBIS, Rural amongst others.

I have my livery yard insurance with them and have not hesitated to renew it each year, as their prices are reasonable with good customer service.

Thanks everyone they are so far the only ones to not find the fact that I live in the Netherlands and my horse will be resident in the UK a HUGE issue and also the policy covers transit from when he sets foot on the transporter to the UK which will fully cover him for 24 hours after landing, all the others are saying that cover will not start till 24 hours after he lands in the UK due to the risk of colic from the travel well duh!

Excellent quote and fantastic customer service with all questions answered so will go with them plus the lady who I spoke to really seemed to understand horses.
