Taking my just turned 2 year old colt sec a out in may to a not huge show but not local either and just wondered if he should now be in a bridle with bit or still a white halter? Many thanks

Not 100% sure but think colts have to be in bridles at most shows

For a colt at his first show I'd go with whatever he was comfortable in and what you can control him in. Just make sure the rings are shiney and clean

2yo and up entires have to be bitted. Plain snaffles = little loose ring, eggbut, those little plastic ones for his age. I wouldn't put a stallion bit in until he was 4yo minimum and only then if he was physically mature enough to get away with it.

yep bitted, you can use a straight bar rubber/plastic one, they look smart with the brass rings Enjoy
