i am a complete showing virgin, haha!

first question - would i be marked down if i show my Yearling Sec A gelding bitted? He wears a rubber loosering snaffle to be led as despite trying the alternatives safety had to come first.

second question - when, oh when will his fluffy winter coat come out? lol

Well i personally like to see them in halters BUT it is up to the individual as to what is used. I agree if thats what he goes best in and is safer, then do so :)

Enjoy your showing :)

thank you - i would have liked to see him in a halter too but I think it would be too risky and Id hate to end up letting go of him:o Will I be marked down if he is bitted?

My friend showed his yearling in a halter, pony was, shall we say, over enthusiastic :D. The judge (well respected county level person) told my friend to bit him. He did and has never looked back, now has many placings and wins under his belt so I don't think it makes any difference. Most judges would much rather have the pony under control.
