Us southerners have been suffering just as much as you northerners! (Been having this discussion with me bezzy mate whos an up northie!) We have had the sandbags out for weeks in Gloucester, I know for a fact Tenbury Wells has been flooded twice (probably 3 by the looks of today), then Tewksbury and Longlevens.... just us southerners don't get the press coverage you northerners do!

and we are rapidly heading it that direction again and we're alot better off than alot of other places near us! (You may just be able to see me stranded neddies in the distance, had to wade out to my waist in places to get to them, they were suppose to be grazing in the nearest section of the field!)

I'll quite happily send you the tornadoes that have landed down south if you want

Maidenhead centre looks like a river, my husband works in Taplow and he sent me some piccies...not sure how to upload them though, if I put them on Facebook can I get them to here?
Whereabouts is the marlow-henley road under water? The roundabout above hurley - do you mean burchetts green? I went through there earlier, it was awful then, and did another few hours raining after that!

Its been awful down here.

I came through Maidenhead on the wat to work this morning however it was fine then.

Having said that its been sunny this afternoon.

He he he he, we had that all last week, finally made its way down south! although shouldn't laugh as horses are in this weekend as it's predicted to rain this weekend, saying that, it was today but hasn't yet!

Its been raining since the early hours here

haven't ventured out yet, but no doubt the stream at the end of the road will be over again). Wind is howling around the house and sky is black, had 1 crack of thunder and lightening around 1pm but nothing since

I have a 40 gallon bowser of water to take up to the horses and the sheep but i don't want to leave the house to drive a garden tractor up the road in the darkness and downpour. I'm hoping there;s been enough rain to fill up the water buckets and / create puddles to drink from! Will be off to check shortly.

Radio just said M4 is virtually at a standstill from London to j13!!! My boss just came in an hour or so ago and said there are cars floating around the Burchetts Green roundabout by the BCA... Glad I only have 4.5 miles to go to get hme, all uphill. OH has to go 1 junction of M4, think he might be back a bit late tonight....

God we were lucky then - had a dressage time at Aston of 9.25 ish, just got into the arena when they announced the Novice was being abandoned and so left the ground about 10.30. The conditions were appalling both at Aston and on the M40
