Mad horses???

Is anyone noticing a difference in their horses recently? My usually spooky horse has turned into a looney!
The usually scary pushbikes are now demons and hes now learned how to spin

, the not so scary pram has now learnt him to piaffe

and his usual lazy walk is now super speed. Tonight he wouldnt eat his tea as something in the distance (nothing!!!) had him on top note and he wouldnt move from the door.
 
Its wierd isnt it, an older horsey lady on a yard I was on years ago used to say this and to be honest I thought 'yeah right' but I reckon she was right

. My horse is pretty scary at the moment.
 
Mine does i think most horses change due to the changing seasons and weather.
My lad is generally laid back [pmsl in his own little way] but come a windy day or change in the season i choose not to ride,if only toi save my own life.

I dont think i would wishhim on hitler when he is having a season change or a windy day tantrum.
 
my usually kind loving softy has also became alonney she even did a bronkel the other night and i never got a chance to put my bum in the saddle and i was on the tarmac. totaly out of chareter. got saddle etc checked and nothing wrong with her. she is even spooky coming in from field. i did get on her and work her after she ditched me don't know what got into her
 
mine too!

He is a possessed demon, having just learnt the art of rearing and napping, I was putting it down to his age (5) however reading all your posts .... prehaps not
 
Yup, mine too! We had the weirdest hack the other day - he was like a coiled spring the whole way round. This was not helped by the neighbouring farmer bellowing at his cows like a moron, the local boy racers doing circuits of the lane, pheasants flapping up out of ditches and a partridge making like road runner along the track!! I didn't know partridges knew how to play dead - I ended up having to get off and pick the damn thing up otherwise it was in real danger of having my rather large boy step on it! It threw itself to the floor about three times and wouldn't budge - how weird is that?!?

One of my horses was given to me and he was just down right crazy and dangerous but I have researched and believe that he suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder and after 10 weeks of light therapy he is a remarkably changed horses and we are jumping courses again
