Mad Moose

Was thinking of him yesterday. I saw his "comeback" race earlier this season, but he wouldn't start.
I suppose that he remembered that racing was uncomfortable, even after all the treatment.

The owners will hopefully give some thought to Moosie-babe's future, he was with the Withefords for a while, and he left them without any warranties! Any retirement home should be selected with the greatest degree of thought.

Every now and then, an animal refuses to comply, we seek out qualified opinions, those opinions are given, and the animal throws it all in the face of those who would help.

To be truthful, his ban was long overdue. No matter the class or ability of a horse, when others are held at the start, and to the detriment of those who are willing and prepared, then it simply isn't fair on the rest of the field. I wonder how many times the owners apologised to others.

If nowhere else is suitable, they can send him here, we 'do' the quirks! :D

Alec.

I'd also love to take him, think he'd enjoy low level endurance. Getting out and seeing new places, no racing or going around in circles, just enjoying the countryside.

He's been given away.

There were a LOT of people after this horse so the owners had a lot of choices. However, it happened very quickly so suspect they had his next home lined up if he returned to form and wouldn't race. I really hope to hear some updates soon!

It said in mag he'd been hunting. Hope he has a ball and the life he's been asking for so delicately (?!) for. Good luck Moosie!
