Haha! Great pics, PNP! The Border sure does look miffed!
I have a question, if you don't mind. Have you stripped your Border? I ask, only because Bear hasn't been done yet, and as the weather is relatively mild ATM, I'm giving it serious consideration. My only fear is the moment I've taken his coat off, we'll be back to arctic temps in a nano second..............and we are still only in February!
haha, yeh those two are like chalk and cheese. Merli is just a daft booger and Chester has def mellowed with age (erm he'd be the cheese?).
and then there's always this...chester with his poodle shaped tumor
Have to laugh cos Chester's latest thing with Merli is the ol' bait and switch tactic to get the best seat in the house (on the sofa, next to me). If Merli is where Chester wants to be, he pretends to hear something out side, goes about three steps in to the hall and barks. This sets Merlin off who then runs out of hte room, down the stairs, in to the garden, bark bark bark. Chester has meanwhile turned back round to hop next to me on the sofa.
NS - he's neutered and ageing so his coat isn't brilliant for stripping any more - but he's partially stripped (more rolling the coat) so he's never down to his pj's at any time except when I top him with clippers in the summer. However if it makes you feel better, most of the BTs I work on tend to get done in Feb/Mar and then again Aug/Sep. Their undercoats, which are left in tact should be enough to keep them cozy. It's the wet weather they might notice more with the absence of the top coat, which is why I like rolling the coat every six weeks or so.
Thank you for that! I'll see how the weather progresses for the next week to ten days - we are due a mixed bag of cloud, sun and showers, and I'll take it from there.
And you certainly can't beat a Border for diversionary tactics! Anything to get shot of that blummin' black lump that insists on sharing his basket, eh!
Haha, yeah - and the maddest part is that next to them is a massive big comfy bed that could fit five of them in! However, they would both insist on being in THAT bed til I moved it elsewhere!
