Thank to all those that gave their support about my horse not settling at new yard.

I just knew it wasn't a good move the day I was moving him. I should of listened to my gut instinct. Well I have given it a week and it is still poo. I cannot ride, there is no routine and horsey and I are unhappy.

So, I am moving back to my old yard and have found out I can have my own stable back. YAY!

I know my horse and I will be a lot happier.

Lesson to learn, the grass isn't always greener and listen to your gut instinct.

Sorry it didnt work out but well done for going back. Its been interesting recently to see how yard owners have behaved with horses being moved out and how snotty they have got, but you have proved yourself that sometimes the move does not work and you need to know find that our for yourself before returning to old pastures with a settled mind so tip for yard owners - always be nice and non judgemental if you want that return / repeat business, word of mouth also travels further than costly advertising!

we always had people back on our yard if it hasnt worked out for them elsewhere, plus the horses already know eachother and it doesnt unsettle them so much, glad you have your old stable back and that you can relax again now and not worry so much and also have you old horse back

Kudu it sounds as though you are going to be more settled with this decision. At least you know for sure now, where you want to be! Hope you are both happier back in you new 'old' home LOL

ive had to move my pony today- due to major travel issues, he is now just downt he road from me, quite sad as i have had to sacrifice a lovely yard with excellent facilities for a much smaller one with not much there. you are very lucky that you were able to go back. if you dont mind me asking howcome you moved in the first place? it can take a good month or so to settle and get a routine going on a new yard. unless it was really that bad!!! :-)
