Made my manege disaster into a website!

What a disappointment :(
I'm gutted for you, as our own arena on our own land is what so many of us dream of! I cannot believe you sewed it by hand. What a nightmare :(

May I have the link too, please?

I am sorry, TallSue, but I can't PM you either. It's not coming up as an option! Can you try to PM me & I'll see if I can reply?

Me too please. Mine drains amazingly but needs complete resurface including new membrane this year and i would hate to ruin it.

I have an arena build by a company that regularly advertises in H&H. I did everything I could to check them out before I went with them including following up references. They managed to contaminate the sand (which isn't really suitable for the job) with the stone they used for the base and also got lots of mud from the tractor wheels in to boot. Every time I grade I have to pick up stones and I have grass growing in the mud which I have to remove regularly. I f anyone wants to know the name of the company, please PM me. It really is difficult to find a good company at a competitive price.

For anyone thinking of building one, mine doesn't have a membrane, as it doesn't have sand. It has drains, then 8" of stone underneath 8" of surface material.
The original surface material was Cushionride, which is woodchip and like all wood chip it begins to break down when it gets wet - as an outdoor surface it gets wet all the time. So it began to ride deep, and I wanted rubber chip instead. That's when I got bad advice from the cowboys and instead of replacing the wood chip the rubber was just added. It is so much better but the wood is still rotting and it still rides fairly deep in very wet weather, so my advice would be drains, no membrane (keeps costs down as well), stone and rubber. I do get stones working up but I know very few manege owners who don't.
Can you send me the link OP, or at least some of the words in the name so google will find it please?

Ethrothiel, I can't send you a PM as that doesn't come up as an option! Sorry :-((

The googlable words would be cheap, manege & weebly, as that's the words in the title of the website & weebly is the free website host, but it doesn't seem to come up on google. Does anyone know what I can do to get it to come up on search engines? My IT knowledge is very limited!
