To my two oldies on Friday afternoon. They were over 16, Foxy had severe and progressing kidney disease and was not good on her back legs - she was struggling to hold herself to poo and wee and to get up, I was worried she was going to get stuck and I wouldn't be there to rescue her. Scooby wasn't as bad but deteriorating quickly on his back legs. He may have had another week or two but would have been miserable without his lifelong companion so after discussion with the vet, made the decision to let them go together. It broke my heart, but looking through my pictures, they were always together so it seemed fitting.

RIP Scooby and Foxy, I'll miss you so much xxx

So sorry for your loss, a brave and kind decision for them to go together. It was the most compassionate choice you could have made. Thinking of you xx

oh. terrible awful decision to have to make but absolutely the best thing for them. You are a very caring owner who did exactly the right thing. 😢

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Definitely the right decision for them, but oh poor you having to say goodbye to both of them. The double emptiness in your home. Both missing them as separate individuals, and them together as a pair of buddies. It must be so hard for you.
At the same time, it's amazing that they got to have so many years together.

That must of been so hard to let 2 go together but as others have said best for them. They look a lovely couple, sending hugs xx

Oh Marnie,I ve had a soft spot for your two every time you’ve posted a picture. We see very few here in Italy and it’s a breed that has appealed to me.What a good age they were. You gave them such a good life, every pic you posted showed they were very much loved and living to the full.

So very sorry for your loss, hard enough to lose one but to lose 2 is heartbreaking but for what it's worth I think you did the right thing for them.
Sleep softly Scooby & Foxy

So very sorry, but as others have said - a difficult but ultimately and resoundingly right decision to have made.

I'm so sorry Marnie, but so pleased for them that they had such a wonderful owner to put their needs first.
