Good evening everyone.

I have come to a momentous decision. After months of trying on different makes of long boots and finding nothing that really fits properly, I have decided to blow the budget and have a made to measure pair (well my last pair lasted me 15 years so why not!!).

Does anyone have any recommendations as to which company(s) to look at? I am off to Burghley so thought might do a bit of research before hand and then see if there are any special offers to be had!

Brogini! Have just ordered myself a pair. They are gorgeous, and the M2M are not overly expensive either! Although their sizing range is so huge and they make to order, so if you are on their "chart" you effectively get them made for you anyway for £100 less!

Depends partly on what you are looking for but I have just ordered a new pair from F.lli Fabbri. They are not that well known but attend a few shows each year. I ordered mine at Hickstead to replace an old pair. They mainly seem to supply SJ's & a few event riders (they list Geoff Billington, Will Funnell, Janette Brakewell amongst others).

Depends what you want them for, if it is jumping/eventing you can't beat Sarm Hippique, Brogini and Sergio Grasso. If it is dressage the best are certainly Konigs, but Petrie and Cavallo aren't bad. If you just want some allround boots go for Regent or there are quite a few brands that are OK. Personally I find it quite difficult to jump in my old Petrie boots and new Konigs. They are certainly made for dressage not jumping!!! Plus mine are slightly too long so I have to ride with longer stirrups!!!
