Does anywhere do made to measure skull caps or adjust ones to fit (that still conform to safety standards?)

I have tried every single make and shape and nothing fits right, I have a large head but its long rather than wide so no shapes fit me. I need a vented skull cap as I am prone to fainting if I get too hot! The only thing I've tried that sort of fit was the Uvex vented xc one with the rubber peak but I just absolutely hate the look of the hat and will not buy it unless its literally the only option. I am at a wits end, every hat I've had since I stopped growing years and years ago hasn't fit properly despite being fitted professionally, I currently have the best of a bad bunch and although fitted professionally 3yrs ago leaves me with a headache and red mark on my forehead. The only one I haven't tried is the Protector xc one but its difficult finding a stockist and I'm doubtful it'll be different from the others.

Please tell me theres a way around this?

my Protector was fitted to my head, and it is the best hat i have ever had, I can do a handstand with it undone and it never comes off (i have done this a few times :) ). They do go to some of the shows, check on there websites if they are at HOYS or a big show i your area? I would say they are worth the effort. I shall be getting a vented one next time.

I've been fitting hats for several years now and in that time have sent a few people to Charles Owen who do a made-to-measure service. These customer have later come back in to tell me how well they got on and they had a tour of the Charles Owen factory too!

Protector don't appear to be going to any shows near me nor ones I'm planning to go to, but I will drop them an email and see if they can send a kit as that sounds exactly what I'm looking for, I didn't realise they had such a service! Thank you!

Is it easy to get a CO made to measure? After a very quick google I haven't spotted anything on their website, will drop them an email, thank you!

ngc1994 i would be very interested to find out how you get on as I really struggle with Hats as I have an oval head which is impossible to fit apparently approx 6 months and hats become very loose
