Finally found a fab lady to share Ed with me. She's done a lot of riding but is returning after a little break. She came and met Ed and they got on fabulously.

We split the week every Sunday and decide who'll ride what days etc I text her today (her day) and asked her if she rode and she said yes and wasn't she supposed to (bless her she's fab) and asked if I wanted her to do anything tomorrow as she has a day off )ie cleaning tack or stable etc!). I told her that if she wanted she could ride tomorrow (my day) as she could take him out in the day and he'd enjoy that more than me schooling him tonight and she seemed made up

I'm so chuffed to find someone so nice for him - a fit happy Ed here we come

I put his ad in adtrader and funnily enough she lives just up the road from where I used to. She's dead straight and has a dirty sense of humour like me - so we both perved on the farrier together when he came

Sounds great, I could do with one, not sure if my mates daughter still wants to ride seren for free one a week as she was on holiday, but i could do with a day off now college is back on. Having a sharer can be fabulous, hope it carries on going well, she sounds nice

Thats good news and yes they are out there.

There is a lovely lady on our yard who shares with my friend's horse, you couldnt ask for a nicer person.

They should make clones of her

Its such a joy isnt it? I feel incredibly proud that my horse can bring happiness to not just me but someone else and also very selfishly I love having days off but the horse doesn't have to suffer now, He gets the best of both - awesome

I'll match your sharer Kits and raise you mine! Hung around for 5 months while my boy was out of action and even tried to keep paying me. After I ripped up her cheque, she put cash in my riding boot! And she came to ride him yesterday as I was too scared to try him in case all the treatment hadn't worked! She grooms for me at competitions and mucks out if she has a day off in the week even when it's not one of her days so that I can spend more time riding! I love my sharer!

Finally - thank you for putting up a nice post about sharers!!

I am a sharer/sort of loaner type thing (friend has two horses so I basically have one all to myself these days!) and get very sad when all I read is posts about bad sharers

True, there are plenty of unreliable people out there

and people that have had terrible experiences having sharers......... but there are us good ones too!

would do anything for my boy and love him like he is my own

Glad all three of you are happy
