Mae went to the show on Friday night, she had 3 down in the 60cm, she was sooo on edge, was too busy looking around her.

She got very worked up riding around before we went in, she was scared, wasnt going to take her in but the organisers said to try her and if she got worse to raise my hand and go out.

We completed the course, it was the first time she acted her age (4), as she was sooo green.

I was so on edge myself which didnt help, i burst out crying when i heard her name come over the tannoy lol.

We stayed to the end and the organiser came down and put a few jumps up for me when the place was quieter and she went better.

She looked so cute all dressed up for the show, i couldnt stop shaking so i didnt help her any. Night started badly as i forgot my bridle! I was just a bag of nerves, but luckily my friend that came to watch had a few in her boot lol.

Will take her back again but going to do more work with her first. Phew lol.

Congrats on your first show!! - don't be too hard on yourself. Well done for going in - nerves can be awful. As she's only a baby keep practicing - the more you do the better your nerves (and hers!) will be!

Oh god shows with my boy when he was a baby were terrifying, I know exactly how you felt! Mae sounds like an angel if all she did was have a few knock downs and feel scared - TBH there'd be something wrong with her if she wasn't worried by the change of scene! Stick at it, you will both get better, nerves disappear the more you do it - I used to be a sack of nerves and fall off almost every time out and now we're winning competitions!
She sounds like a sweety, trust me when you win your first show together you will be unbelievably proud of her, you will know it was all your work that got her there. It feels especially good when you beat push button ones!

Thank you everyone, i am so proud of her, was expecting her to kick out at other horses but she just stood snorting. Put the red ribbon on her tail just incase.

Ohh molly were did your pics go, thought your boy was gorgeous!!
